The seller had several tables piled with materials offered to the public, but it was evident the books were purposely separated from that lot and positioned on the lavender, satin-looking cloth.

Disappeared" width="600" height="365" />A field of supports for a former pier stretch out into the distance of dark and murky water that is the Hudson River in New York City NY. The wooden timbers, installed decades ago and now weathered with age and battered by storms and waves, are one of many sights offered to visitors who travel the city’s paved and patrolled Hudson River Walk on foot, by bicycle, roller skates or skateboard. Far off, behind the supports, is the New Jersey sky- and shore line. (April 7, 2012)

The building served as the county jail during the 1880s, and became the library’s central branch during 1949, according to a history of Gettysburg at LivingPlaces.com.
