Area residents took a swim Sunday (New Year’s Day, Jan. 1, 2012) in the Schuylkill River at Pottstown PA, braving a water temperature of 46 degrees, during the borough’s annual Polar Bear Plunge. Two swimmers donned bison headgear for their chilly dip.
